MANILA – Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres proves that she still deserves to be called “Dancing Queen” as she wowed the crowd with her performance in a reality TV show.
Torres gave her global fans a glimpse of her recent performance in “Mira Quien Baila,” the Spanish-language version of “Dancing with the Stars.”
The show involved celebrities being paired up with professional dancers as they compete for a cash prize to be given to a charity of their choice.
Her partner, professional dancer Jonathan Platero, was all praises for the beauty queen.
“I have the pleasure of meeting and working with such beautiful people like [Dayanara Torres] who completely transformed into a brilliant dancer last night right in front of everyone’s eyes! You are a star!” he wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
Here are some photos and videos of their performance:
Torres made her showbiz comeback in the Philippines last February as she appeared on “ASAP.” She is one of the original hosts and performers of the ABS-CBN Sunday variety show.
The beauty queen was dubbed as the country’s “Dancing Queen” during the '90s, and starred in movies with Aga Muhlach and Cesar Montano, among others.
She first visited the Philippines in 1994 to crown her successor in the Miss Universe pageant.
