"Bakit ba sila na-bother?"
Manny Pacquiao is maintaining his stance that there's nothing wrong with him leaving a comment on an Instagram live video of a 22-year-old girl, saying that even his wife, Jinkee, had no problems with it.
In an interview with DZMM, the boxer-politician reiterated that the comments he left for Arzaylea Rodriguez, a social media influencer with nearly half a million followers, had no malice in them.
"Ganoon talaga ang isip ng mga tao," he reasoned on Friday, adding that the public uproar over his comments were overblown. "Basta ako malinis naman ako."
He also said that Jinkee herself hasn't been making a fuss about it. "Wala naman. Sabi ko nga eh, 'Bawal na ba magsabi ng hello?' Bawal na pala ngayon iyon," he quipped.
Earlier this week, screenshots of Pacquiao saying "hello" and "where are you from" on Rodriguez's video went viral on social media.
He was also seen striking an online conversation with Maria Ciuffo, an American who co-hosts the online vlog "Chicks in the Office."
Following the brouhaha, Pacquiao shared a photo of him and Jinkee boarding a plane for China together.
"On our way to Hong Kong then to Beijing. See you guys there. God is good all the time," Pacquiao wrote.
Jinkee also shared a photo of her with her husband with the caption: "Hello, beautiful FRIDAY!"
