MANILA - Amorita Resort in the island of Panglao in Bohol has reopened its villas in time for its 10th anniversary.
"We just reopened the villas. We closed the villas for renovation a little over a year ago," Amorita's general manager Noel Barrameda told ABS-CBN News.
According to Barrameda, the resort now has a total of 98 rooms including the newly refurbished villas.
"Each villa has its own pool, which we also made bigger than before. Plus may additional na dalawang two-bedroom pool villa this time, which is ideal for families," he said.
Aside from the villas, the five-hectare boutique resort also reopened its infinity pool, which overlooks the beautiful Alona Beach.
Soon, the resort will reopen the Azotea restaurant.
"The big project this year was to really open this section (The Azotea) and the infinity pool," Barrameda said.
With the opening of the new Bohol airport in Panglao next year, the resort will be ready for the expected influx of more tourists to the province, Barrameda said.
"In preparation for that, tapos na kami. This year, parang small things na lang, fixing here and there. I guess kasi after the big renovation, we just want to rest muna in terms of construction," he said.
But more than the refurbished facilities, Barrameda believes that it is the quality of its service that sets Amorita apart.
"There are other good resorts here in Panglao, but it's the service, and we keep on innovating," he said.
For instance, the resort has introduced a "complimentary curated mini-bar."
"We have our own drink that we prepare every day that we put in the bar," he said.
