MANILA - Here are some of the events you can check out this weekend.
1. Happy Family Plan
When: June 3, 4:30 p.m.
Where: TIU Theater, Amorsolo St., Makati City
Catch the free screening of the comedy film "Happy Family Plan" this Saturday.
A project of Manila Shimbun Cine Club in partnership with Japan Foundation Manila and Film Development Council of the Philippines, this movie is about a jobless man and his bickering family who are selected to be on a popular TV game show.
It stars Miura Tomokazu, Watanabe Eri, Hirayama Aya, Oguri Shun, and Abe Hiroshi. The movie will have English subtitles.
2. Bata, Bata Malaya Ka Ba?
When: June 4
Where: Sagul Food Park, Diliman, Quezon City
"Bata, Bata Malaya Ka Ba?" is a free concert that showcases original works for children's rights.
Front acts include The Weirdos, Good Habit and Nicole Abuda. Aspiring musicians, spoken word artists, and other performers are also welcome to join the open-mic session.

3. Chasing Flavors
When: June 3, 9 p.m.
Where: Lifestyle TV (SkyCable channel 52)
Acclaimed Kapampangan chef Claude Tayag has a new TV show titled "Chasing Flavors."
In the show, Tayag probes the origins of various Pinoy dishes from region to region, attempting to answer what makes each of them unique.
Some of the featured dishes include adobo, paksiw, sinigang, kilaw and sisig, pancit, lechon, cured meats, stews, inihaw, salted dried fish, gata, gulay, panghimagas, and rice.
4. World Street Food Congress 2017
When: May 31 to June 4
Where: Mall of Asia Concert Grounds
Explore different street food from around the globe at this year's World Street Food Congress.
For the second time in a row, Manila welcomes world-renowned flavors in a colorful convergence and gustatory feast. There will also be talks and cooking demonstrations.
