MANILA – After representing the Philippines in Miss World last year, Laura Lehmann is gearing up for more showbiz projects.
She has signed up with Regal Entertainment Inc. and is set to host a TV show that is “related to the beauty queen world.”
“That’s the one I’m very excited for,” she said in a recent interview with the entertainment website Pep.
With former Miss World bet Catriona Gray competing in Binibining Pilipinas this year, fans are also wondering if Lehmann will once again try her luck in the national pageant that sends representatives to Miss Universe.
The former courtside reporter joined Bb. Pilipinas in 2014 and finished as runner-up.
“I don’t think anybody limits us to join other pageants,” the former courtside reporter for Ateneo de Manila University said. “We can try any pageant that we want.”
“Right now, I’m very happy with Miss World Philippines,” she continued. “I’m just very happy where I am right now. I don’t have any plans of joining… I’m just focusing on this year.”
Lehmann finished in the Top 40 of Miss World 2017, and was also named one of the winners of the pageant’s “Beauty with a Purpose” segment for her dedication to her cause of building a milk bank for a local maternity ward.
