MANILA – Singer Mark Bautista is set to reprise his role as the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos in the hit musical “Here Lies Love.”
Bautista portrayed the former president in “Here Lies Love,” a rock musical made in collaboration between David Byrne and Fatboy Slim, from 2014 to 2015 in London.
He now returns as a cast member of the US staging of the musical at Bagley Wright Mainstage in Seattle from April 9 to June 18.
As seen in his Instagram posts, Bautista has started rehearsing in New York for his upcoming shows.
“Here Lies Love” tackles the rise and fall of the late dictator’s wife, Imelda Marcos. It debuted in New York in 2013 and received positive reviews from critics.
