MANILA - One of the cigar boxes sent by former president Ferdinand Marcos to former US President John F. Kennedy will be auctioned by Nate D. Sanders Auction on Thursday, February 23.

It was one of the four cigar boxes sent by Marcos to Kennedy in 1962.

The boxes were monogrammed with the initials "JFK" on the left-hand corner.

The cigar box or humidor being auctioned was given by First Lady Jackie Kennedy to her husband's butler, Jack Spangenburg, following the president's death.

According to Spangenburg, Jackie gave him the humidor as a token of appreciation for his service to JFK.

Spangenburg worked with the families of John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy from 1960 to 1977.

Bidding starts at $6,000.

More information about the humidor can be found at the Nate D. Sanders Auctions website.
