2. McDonald's new Mushroom Pepper Steak
In addition to its affordable rice meals, McDonald’s introduces the new Mushroom Pepper Steak. It is a a juicy burger patty, smothered in a mushroom cream sauce with a hint of pepper, and topped off with sliced button mushrooms.
Taste the one-piece Mushroom Pepper Steak with a regular drink for only P55. It also comes as a two-piece meal with a regular drink for only P89 or with a McFreeze starting at P69 for a one-piece meal and P99 for a two-piece meal.
3. TWG's Morning Rooster Tea
To welcome the Year of the Rooster, TWG Tea is launching a new flavor, the Morning Rooster Tea. This blend of black and green tea features notes of jasmine, morning rose and orchard fruit.
It is priced at P1,595.00. 9. Flavors of Kyoto at Spiral
Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila is welcoming the Year of the Rooster by featuring the different flavors of Kyoto with Obanzai, which is ongoing until January 22.
Prepared by Chef Hiromi Yonekawa, Obanzai features the intricate preparation and artistic presentation of Japanese cuisine.
The special selection of Obanzai dishes feature: Ebi Kimini (Prawn twisted into flower shapes); Kohaku Namasu (Healthy Vinegar Salad); Onsen Tamago (Silky Egg Whites and Custard-like Yolk); Hiyayakko which is made with chilled tofu and toppings; Cold Somen (White Japanese Noodle made of wheat flour); Saba Misoni (Mackarel cooked in miso sauce); Kuri Acharazuke (Radishes and turnips with cut kombu seaweed and carrots in special vinegar brewed with soy sauce, sugar and sweet rice wine); Hakusai Asazuke (cucumber, cabbage salad with red chili pepper and kombu seaweed); Hijiki Nimono (brown sea vegetable that has a sweet and savory flavor); Spicy Edamame (soy beans); Furofuki Daikon (mild flavored winter radish with miso sauce); Waka Takeni (simmered young bamboo shoots with seaweeds); Kiriboshi Daikon (dried Japanese radish strips); Ebi-no Sunomono; Tori no Nanbanzuke; and Tsukemono Moriwase.
