MANILA – The first book of local chef Tatung Sarthou has been recognized at the recent Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.
“Philippine Cookery: From Heart to Platter” under ABS-CBN Publishing was named 2017 National Winner, Lifestyle TV announced on Tuesday.
Describing Sarthou’s work, Gourmand World Cookbook Awards jury president Edouard Cointreau said: “This is the first book, and certainly not the last. It is really good, interesting, useful and practical.”
Sarthou is the man behind the recently opened Agos at SM Mall of Asia. Both specialize in Filipino cuisine.
On top of these, Sarthou appears on the cooking segment of the ABS-CBN morning show “Umagang Kay Ganda” and is the host of the Lifestyle TV special “The Food That We Are.”
