It's safe to say that a lot of Filipinos love Wonder Woman. After all, her first solo big screen outing became the biggest Warner Bros. movie of all-time in the country last year.
But Pinoys are about to love her a whole lot more after standing up to the tyrannical baddie Darkseid, who was seen wreaking havoc around Metro Manila inside the pages of "Wonder Woman" #37.
Panels from the recently released comic show the Amazon warrior princess and her father, Zeus, trying to protect innocent Filipinos from Darkseid, arguably DC Comics' most powerful villain.
The artwork was done by Pinoy artists Carlo Pagulayan and Stephen Jorge Segovia with colors from Romulo Fajardo Jr.
The issue, written by James Robinson, features a bunch of nods to local culture such as the jeepney, a signboard for Ortigas Avenue, and the historic Statue of Our Lady of EDSA.
