Mar Roxas open to tax reform but...

Heeding the calls for tax reform is something administration standard-bearer Mar Roxas is open to, but not at the present time.

During ANC's "Meet Your Candidates" forum, Roxas said the proposals for tax cuts should not be discussed amid the election season because the issue would be highly politicized.

The presidential aspirant also clarified that he is not opposed to tax reform, citing the law he passed exempting minimum wage earners of paying income taxes when he was senator in 2004.

The program is a special forum, produced by ANC in partnership with the Harvard Club of the Philippines, Kellogg School of Management and Wharton-Penn Alumni Associations. - ANC, Meet Your Candidates, November 25, 2015
