MANILA- Presidential frontrunner Rodrigo Duterte on Monday night revealed more details of his conversation with rival Sen. Grace Poe before she conceded in the presidential race.

Speaking on the television channel of religious leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, Duterte said Poe called him up before her press conference announcing her concession

"She was gracious enough to call me and said that in a few hours she'd go on TV or go on public that she's conceding," Duterte said. "She thanked me."

Duterte said he and Poe shared a light moment during their conversation.

"Sabi niya, 'Ikaw mayor ha... (Tinawag mo kong) Amerikano, iyung vice-president mo, tignan mo mukha niya, (mukhang) Amerikano,'" Duterte narrated in jest. "Maldita itong si Grace."

Duterte said he accepted Poe's concession, and vowed to support her advocacies.

"Since you go for the handshake, I accept it with humility. I can work with you. Paborito mo is electoral reforms, I will go for it, I will support it. Wala ho kayong problema sa akin. Consider me as your servant," he said of his conversation with the senator.

Duterte also said that if Poe needs to seek him out, he will personally go to her office in the Senate, instead of the lawmaker going to the Palace.

"Anytime tawagin mo ako, ako na pupunta sa Congress, huwag ka na pumunta sa Malacanang. Bad vibes ka diyan. Ilang beses ka pumunta, hindi ka talaga pumayag. Up to the last day, hindi ka talaga pumayag. Bilib ako," Duterte said, referring to the time when the administration party wooed Poe to be the runningmate of Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas.

Duterte also talked about how he had opposed Poe's candidacy due to issues over her citizenship. He said he was just standing his ground as a lawyer.
