Binay to attend Wharton School program

MANILA, Philippines – Vice President and Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) chair Jejomar C. Binay will go to Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania to learn more about housing finance.

According to a press release from the Office of the Vice President, Binay will leave on Friday for the United States along with top officials of key shelter agencies.

They will undergo the International Housing Finance Program on “Housing Finance in a Changing Global Environment.”

Binay said that it was a good opportunity for them as housing officials.

“I am confident this would give us fresh insights on how to address our 3.6 million housing gap and provide quality and affordable homes to our people,” he added.

Binay, the President’s chief adviser on overseas Filipino workers’ concerns, will also meet and hold dialogues with Filipino communities in Rockland County, New York City, Washington, Philadelphia and Monterey.

He will also attend the flag raising and Independence Day parade on June 5 in New York City, the flag raising on June 12 in Washington and the Rizal Day celebration on June 17 in Monterey.
