Body of Pinoy killed in oil rig blast to arrive on Thursday

MANILA, Philippines - The body of the Filipino worker     who died in the November 16 oil rig explosion in the United States will arrive home on Thursday.

Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Raul Hernandez said the remains of 42-year-old Ellroy Corporal will leave the US on Tuesday.

Hernandez added there's no date set yet for the repatriation of the remains of another Filipino fatality, 49-year-old Avelino Tajonera, who passed away Saturday morning.

Another Filipino worker, 28-year-old Jerome Malagapo, has yet to be found.

Hernandez said, Philippine officials in the US are keeping an eye on the three other Filipinos who were injured from the accident.

“Yung isa nagpapagaling na. Meron pa tayong dalawang critical. Mino-monitor natin ang kanyang kalagayan at nangako naman yung kanilang employer na gagawin ang lahat para mabigyan ng sapat na medical care,” he said.
