MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Tuesday said there were no Filipinos among the fatalities in a ferry accident in Hong Kong.
DFA Spokesperson Raul Hernandez said as of Tuesday morning, no Filipino was reported dead or injured after two passenger boats collided and one sunk off Hong Kong's Lamma island late Monday.
Twenty-five people were killed and dozens were injured.
Hernandez said the DFA continues to coordinate with Hong Kong authorities to ensure that no Filipino was hurt once all the passengers have all been accounted for.
