Pinoy makes it to semi-finals of Austrian talent show

Filipino Mark Anthony Agpas is a semi-finalist of the Austrian talent show "The Big Chance."

AUSTRIA - An Austria-based Filipino singer has reached the semi-finals of the popular Austrian talent show "Die Grosse Chance" (The Big Chance).

Mark Anthony Agpas was selected as a semi-finalist after his performance captivated the emotion of female judge Karina Sarkissova. The episode was aired on September 28 via Austria Television 1 (ORF 1)

After being called by Sarkissova as one of the semi-finalists, Mark was so overwhelmed.

"It was cool. I'm one of the happiest man in the world at this time," Mark told ABS-CBN News Europe.

Now, Mark is now asking the help of kababayans to support him through votes so he can make it to the finals of The Big Chance.
“Ang mga kababayan natin talagaang pag-asa ko kasi, maski gaano ko gagalingan ang pagkanta at performance,pero kung wala naman susuporta ng mga kaibigan,yari pa rin ako,” he said.

Several Filipinos have already posted words of support for Mark.

Shirley Tadiosa Salazarwrote: "BastaPinoy, proud tayo pagdating sa kantahan. Congrats, Mark!!!"

AldwinSanares commented: “Ayos, galing talagaa ng Pinoy!”

The 30 contestants, including Mark, will again present their talents in the three semi-finals shows.

In each of the three shows, only three will be selected for the final show. Contestants for the final show are being selected via Televoting or SMS, which means viewers can send their unlimited votes via SMS messages or phone-ins.

Mark is hoping the Filipino community in Austria and other countries can vote for him.
