MANILA – The 14-year-old Filipina on X Factor Australia is now among the show's Top 9 contestants.

Marlisa Punzalan performed her rendition of Bjork's song "Its Oh So Quite" for the week's Top 10 Hits challenge.

"Marlisa, you're such a cutie. I love that song, I love your voice. I wasn't sure about that song choice for you, I have to say, but I love that you put everything into it. That's the most important thing for me," said Natalie Bassingthwaighte.

Fellow female judge Dannii Minogue said taking on a Bjork song was a huge task.

"A little bit faltering with notes and the ending position," she said. But she quickly added that this was a "great direction" for the young singer.

Although the song selection was a bit "risky" for a teenager like Punzalan, Redfoo still thought the girl pulled it off.

"It's very risky to do that but you brought musical theater. I felt like I was a kid watching a play for the first time. I love that you took that risk. You embraced it. You had a lot of courage to do it and I was very pleased. It was very good," he said.

Punzalan is under Ronan Keating's team Under 25 Females.

"I loved working with you. Everything I asked of you, you did it. You give your heart and soul. I'm so proud of you. Great job!" commented Keating.

The all-female group XOX was the latest to be eliminated from the show.
