JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia – An overseas Filipino worker who fell from the third floor of a building has been reunited with her family in the Philippines.

Arjane Pinca was trying to escape from her Saudi employers when the accident happened.

The 29-year old OFW had been working in Taif for only two months. But the mother of four got so depressed and was also homesick.

"Homesick po, kasama na po ang homesick. Naglagay po ako ng tali, tapos mabilis po yung pagkababa ko," she said.

Before the accident, she told her female employer about her plan to leave but the former did not allow it.

"Sarado po kasi yung pinto kaya dun po ako dumaan. Nakakalabas lang po ako pag kasama sila. Nagpaalam po ako na umuwi kaso di po ako pinayagan. Gusto ko lang po makapunta dito sa embassy para makauwi," she said.

The fall broke the OFW's back and feet. She stayed in the hospital for more than a month before her papers for repatriation were processed by the consulate. Report from Iya Estrada Cabanding, ABS-CBN Middle East News Bureau
