Josephine Medina outplayed Norweigan Aida Dahlen in table tennis and won 3 sets to 1.
The 42-year-old athlete will next play against French Thu Kamka-Somphou.
Medina, who has a leg shorter than the other, is assured of a medal if she beats top-seed Thu.
