MANILA, Philippines -- Philippine Ambassador to China Sonia Brady is recovering after suffering a stroke in Beijing last Wednesday.
In a text message, Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario, who visited Brady in Beijing, said the ambassador is getting better.
"Ambassador Brady is improving and is manifesting a strong will to get better even faster," Del Rosario said.
Foreign Affairs spokesperon Raul Hernandez said Brady, who remains in the hospital, is under observation and undergoing tests.
But Hernandez said her condition is stable.
The 71-year old envoy had just recovered from a mild stroke, when she was appointed as ambassador to China last May amid the Scarborough standoff. -- ANC
