LAS VEGAS, Nevada - Bicolanos in Southern Nevada are still in a state of shock upon learning of the retrieval of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo's body today.

Filipinos immediately offered their prayers as they paid respect to their former mayor and son of Naga City.

Many say that he may be gone too soon but his legacy of good governance shall live.

One Naga native here says that Robredo was a simple man, and a man with a word of honor. Quite a character for a politician whose leadership brought so much pride for Bicolanos from all over the world.

Filipinos here vowed to continue the novena prayers for Robredo.

Robredo's body was found on Tuesday morning, three days after his plane crashed. The small Piper plane carrying Robredo, his aide, and two pilots crashed 150 meters away from Masbate airport around 4:30 p.m. Saturday as it attempted to make an emergency landing due to engine trouble.
