MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will be closed for two days next week in observance of two non-working holidays.
The DFA said its Office of Consular Affairs (OCA) will be closed on Monday, August 20 for the Eid-ul Fitr, the culmination of the Holy Month of Ramadan; and on Tuesday, August 21, for the Ninoy Aquino Day.
“In view of the above, all those with scheduled appointments on these days will be allowed to process their applications from 22 to 24 August 2012 provided that they will bring their confirmed appointment slips,” the DFA said in a press statement.
An on-call skeletal force will be assigned at the Passport Division including Courtesy Lane (CL) and Diplomatic and Official Passport Sections (DOPS) to attend to the people who might come to OCA for emergency consular assistance, including passport services (regular, diplomatic and official).
DFA-OCA's official operation will resume on Wednesday, August 22.
