REDWOOD CITY, California – The two Filipino men in San Diego caught on camera allegedly performing sexual acts on their bedridden 98-year old patient will face trial.

A San Diego judge has ordered Russel Torralba and Alfredo Ruiz to stand trial on felony abuse charges.

Video surveillance shows the two nurses allegedly inappropriately touching the then 98-year-old female patient, as well as touching themselves.

Torralba and Ruiz both face counts that include elder abuse charges as well charges for providing inadequate care to other patients.

While their defense attorneys say there was no evidence that their patient was neglected or suffered injuries, prosecutors said the two faces a maximum prison sentence of six years.

The two men who are currently free on bond are scheduled to appear in court later this month.
