MANILA, Philippines - More overseas Filipino workers from strife-torn Libya are scheduled to arrive in Manila this week.
The first group, composed of 47 OFWs, were scheduled to arrive at 4 p.m. on Monday at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport via Qatar Airways QR926.
The next batch of 21 OFWs are set to arrive Tuesday (August 12), at 9:45 a.m. on board QR930 at Clark International Airport.
This brings the total number of Filipino repatriates from Libya to 1,625.
DFA and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) representatives will brief and assist them upon arrival, including the provision of fares and/or transportation assistance to their hometowns/provinces.
The DFA once again urged all remaining Filipino nationals in Libya to immediately reach out to the Philippine Embassy in Tripoli and register for repatriation.
