MANILA - A Pinay girl group competing in "The X Factor Australia" impressed English singer-songwriter James Blunt, one of the guest mentors, in the reality show's episode on Monday (Manila time).
Trill, which is composed of Sheralyn, Angel, and Jessica, performed the Jessie J hit "Price Tag" in front of mentor Dannii Minogue and Blunt during the Home Visits leg of the competition.
Minogue, who is handling the groups, brought her bets to an exclusive location in Syndey.
Fellow mentors Natalie Bassingthwaighte (Under 25 Boys) and Ronan Keating (Under 25 Girls) had their artists perform in New York City, while Redfoo brought the over-25 contestants to Las Vegas.
Another Filipino, teen singer Marlisa Punzalan, is also vying for a spot in the live shows under Keating, who tapped "All Of Me" hitmaker John Legend as a co-mentor.
Punzalan earlier impressed the judges with her Bootcamp performance, singing "Never Be the Same." At 14, she is the youngest contestant on "The X Factor Australia."
