REDWOOD CITY, California – The Fil-Am teenage daredevil who climbed to the top of One World Trade Center tower in March pleaded guilty to the escapade that shook up security policies at one of the country’s most famous buildings.
Justin Casquejo, 16, accepted a plea deal to serve 23 days of community service in exchange for keeping the misdemeanor BASE jumper charge off his record.
He was originally charged with two counts of trespassing.
The New Jersey teen admitted to breaking the law when he sneaked past 1 World Trade Center security guards and climbed up to the antenna.
