MANILA, Philippines - The United States' embassy in Manila will be closed to the public on Tuesday, July 29 in observance of Eid’l Fitr.
The embassy said it will be open for business as usual on Wednesday, July 30.
Philippine President Aquino earlier signed Proclamation No. 826 pursuant to Republic Act No. 9177, declaring Eid’l Fitr a regular holiday throughout the country.
Eid'l Fitr is considered one of the most important festivals in Islam.
