Viral video: British girl speaks Tagalog, Bisaya

MANILA – Filipino netizens are abuzz over a video of a little girl who can speak and sing in Tagalog and Bisaya.

The girl named Charlotte is seen talking to a Filipina – presumably her nanny – in a video uploaded on the I Am Philippines Facebook page.

The clip, which lasts for 2 minutes and 29 seconds, has over 9,500 “likes” and more than 29,000 shares as of writing.

 

In the video, Charlotte also sang the Bisaya song “Lawa-lawa” as well as Tagalog folk songs “Leron Leron Sinta” and “Nanay Tatay”.

She also showed that she can count from one to ten in Tagalog before saying “paalam” to the camera.

According to the administrators of the I Am Philippines Facebook page, Charlotte’s parents are British.
