REDWOOD CITY, California – Lolo Guillermo de Venecia, who is described as hard of hearing and was diagnosed with dementia four years ago, went missing last Wednesday afternoon in Fitchburg, Wisconsin.
After a three-day search which involved a helicopter, search dogs, hundreds of volunteers and a drone, Fitchburg police said that de Venecia has been found by the drone owner in a soybean field.
Police said de Venecia was dehydrated but responsive.
It was unclear how de Venecia ended up in the field or if he had been walking in the area since he had gone missing on July 16.
The man who found the missing Filipino said that Lolo de Venecia was in good spirits and was even made jokes during the car ride back to the command center.
