SAUDI ARABIA – An overseas Filipino worker died after jumping off the rooftop of a building in Riyadh.
The fatality was identified as Michael Villacojer, a technician at Remal al Sawahel. The victim was said to have jumped from the rooftop of their 3-storey housing villa in the morning of July 3.
Two Saudi nationals said they saw Villacojer jump with his eyes blindfolded.
At saka imposibleng mahulog yan na aksidente," said Dela Rosa.
The Cebu native had only been working in Saudi Arabia for eight months. His housemates described him to be hardworking and helpful to others.
However, before the incident happened, his roommates said Villacojer was acting strangely.
According to the embassy's Assistance to Nationals Section, there were 15 cases of suicide reported in the central and eastern region from January to July of this year.
