MANILA - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Friday said it will revisit its security assessment of the Gaza Strip following the ground offensives launched by Israel.

"Maybe today, we will come up with a new position whether we stay with alert level 3 or we'll be adjusting it accordingly in consideration of the ground offensives that Israel would be launching," said DFA Assistant Secretary Charles Jose.

Crisis Alert Level 3 is up in Gaza Strip which calls for voluntary repatriation of all Filipinos in the area.

Jose said there are only 99 Filipinos, out of the 109 in the area, after they successfully evacuated 10 of them.

"We're calling our kababayans in Gaza Strip to voluntarily leave the place," he said.

He added that the embassies in Tel Aviv and Amman are both ready to assist evacuated Filipinos.
