LONDON – Over 50,000 Filipinos from London and nearby countries joined the biggest two-day Pinoy event in Europe: The Barrio Fiesta sa London 2012.

Jericho Rosales, Giselle Sanchez, Christine Reyes, and Jed Madela entertained kababayans on the second day of the Barrio Fiesta sa London 2012 organized by the Philippine Centre and TFC.

With the theme “Pinoy Summer, Da Best Forever’, the Philippine Centre and The Filipino Channel (TFC), gathered the best Pinoy talents such as Budoy; former lead star and Pinoy Big Brother alumni Gerald Anderson; World Championships of the Performing Arts (WCOP) champion Jed Madela; stand-up comedienne Giselle Sanchez; and versatile actress Angelica Panganiban, to entertain Pinoys at the Lampton Park in Hounslow on the first day of the event last June 30.

The event was also the venue for the UK Grand Finals of TFCKat, the first all-Filipino international talent search.

All TFCkat semi-finalists selected from TFC Kapamilya Fair events across the UK were brought to the event to declare the country winner for UK who will compete in the Europe Grand Finals in September.

Al Angelo Bernal of Norwich bagged prizes in cash and kind during the said event. If he wins the Europe Grand Finals of TFCkat versus other winners from France, Italy and Spain, Bernal will be flown to Manila for the live auditions of Pilipinas Got Talent.

The second day was equally exciting as Madela and Sanchez were joined on stage by heartthrob singer-actor Jericho Rosales and actress Christine Reyes of the recently concluded “Dahil sa Pag-ibig” teleserye.

British group “Blake” added international flavor to the record-breaking event. Blake performed for TFC for free as a way of giving back to the Filipino community for the warm reception they received during their visit to the Philippines early this year.

Meanwhile, TFC gave away 3-month's worth of free TFC subscriptions, gift packs and meet and greet passes with the guest Kapamily artists from those who pre-registered at and those who filled out TFC raffle coupons during the event.
