HOLLYWOOD – Filipino-Greek-American Dave Bautista, well-known as "Batista" in the wrestling world, is among the cast of a different group of superheroes called "Guardians of the Galaxy".

Bautista plays "Drax the Destroyer" in the movie.

As Drax the Destroyer, Batista was able to show off his mighty form and fighting skills to a global audience.

The movie stars Chris Pratt in his first big leading role. Joining Pratt in the all-star cast are John C. Reilly, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel and many others.

The wrestler-turned-actor never failed to show how proud he is of his Filipino heritage and even had the Philippine flag inked on his skin.

While at a recent Journey concert, Bautista posted on Twitter pictures of fellow Filipino Arnel Pineda, captioning it #pinoypride.

The wrestler is serious in his career crossover to Hollywood. Though Guardians of the Galaxy is his biggest break, he has been in films like Riddick and Scorpions King 3.

Bautista also stars in LA Slasher which deals with America's celebrity obsession.

He is expected to return to WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) after the August 1 release of Guardians of the Galaxy.
