DFA suspends consular operations in Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Wednesday suspended consular services at the DFA-Aseana and satellite offices in Metro Manila as typhoon Glenda hit the metropolis.

Passport and authentication services at DFA-ASEANA (at Macapagal Boulevard), DFA NCR - Central (Robinsons Galleria), DFA NCR-Northeast (Ali Mall), DFA NCR - East (SM Megamall), DFA NCR - West (SM Manila), and DFA NCR - South (Metro Gaisano Alabang) will not be available on Wednesday.

The release of passports is also temporarily suspended.

The DFA said normal operations will resume on July 17 (Thursday).

Passport applicants who have scheduled appointment on July 16 will be accommodated from July 17 to 19 and from July 21 to 23, provided that they can show proof of their appointment.
