REDWOOD CITY, California – The trial for the undocumented Filipino man accused of killing three people in a shooting spree inside an Ohio bar will take place a month later than originally scheduled.

On Monday, a Sandusky, Ohio county judge moved 33-year-old Igmidio Mista’s jury trial from Aug. 4 to Sept. 8, allowing his defense attorney more time to build his case.

The judge also granted Mista’s attorney $750 to spend on expert assistance, including the use of video taken of the March 9 shooting at the Last Call Bar in Fremont, Ohio.

Mista is charged with killing three men, including an off-duty police officer, and faces up to 75 years to life in prison.
