REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Forbes magazine just released its list of the year’s 100 most powerful celebrities and a Fil-Am musician was named among the top 20.
Pop music star Bruno Mars, whose mother was from the Philippines, tied for the number 13 spot with rocker Bon Jovi.
The 28-year-old Mars made history this year with his Super Bowl halftime show. He was the youngest halftime headliner ever.
Following the Super Bowl, his album “Unorthodox Jukebox” went double platinum, selling more than 2 million copies.
Topping Forbes’ list as the most powerful celebrity was R&B singer Beyonce Knowles.
