GENEVA, Switzerland – Three Filipinos have made the country proud by graduating with flying colors from a university in Geneva.
Frances Raquel Narvaez, Robert William Narvaez, and Obed Pantoja were among this year’s 4 summa cum laude awardees of the Webster University.
Ms. Narvaez, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology, minor in Media Communications, had a final grade point average of 3.99/4.0.
Mr. Narvaez, a BA International Relations with emphasis on Refugee Studies and minor in French and Computer Science got a GPA of 3.9/4.0.
Pantoja, a Bachelor of Science in Finance, had a grade of 3.9/4.0.
The 3 also received honors from their respective departments and have been accepted in the graduate programs of reputable institutions abroad.
Ms. Narvaez will reportedly pursue higher studies at Cambridge University, while Mr. Narvaez is going to the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. Pantoja was accepted at the University in Lugano.
The news about the trio’s academic achievement abroad was relayed to abs-cbnNEWS.com by Dr. Desiree Montecillo-Narvaez, a doctor for the United Nations based in Geneva.
“Truly, this represents an enormous source of pride and honor for me not just as a mother, but as a Filipino as well. These awards are a testimony to the international community of the great academic achievement that Filipinos all over the world are able to attain, and of the intellectual capacity that we have,” said Dr. Narvaez in an email letter.
