MANILA - One of the two Filipino women vying for a shot at the Voice Australia was eliminated during the show's showdown last Monday.
Jhoanna Aguila's stint at the show was cut short after she was sent home.
During the showdown, the Sydney-based Aguila performed her version of Alicia Keys "Fallin".
The 24-year-old Filipina took to social networking site Facebook to thank the show for what she described was a "life-changing experience".
"I'm so blessed and privileged to have met and learnt from such talented and gifted artists. Thank you for this opportunity. I won't forget the wonderful, unique and fun memories + friendships I've made along the way," said Aguila.
She added, "This isn't the end for me, only bigger and better things yet to come!"
She also gave thanks to all the people who supported, encouraged and believed in her.
"Especially those who gave me the extra push to go on the show!" she said.
Meanwhile, Fely Irvine, a former member of popular children's singing group "Hi-5", survived the showdown as she was sent to Sing-Off.
The Filipino-Scottish contestant sang her rendition of Blu Cantrell's "Hit 'Em Up Style" during Monday's showdown.
Irvine is under the team of celebrity coach Ricky Martin.
