Special licensure exams for OFWs in Middle East set

MANILA – The conduct of the Special Professional Licensure Board Examinations (SPLBEs) for overseas Filipino workers in the Middle East has been set for October 14 to 19, 2013.

The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh said the SPLBE schedule was announced in the Resolution No. 2013-739, Series of 2013, which the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) issued.

The embassy said under Executive Order No. 835 dated 09 October 2009, the PRC and other concerned agencies, through the Department of Labor and Employment, are directed to conduct yearly SPLBEs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and United Arab Emirates.

Gulf Times reported that graduates of mechanical, electrical and civil engineering, accountancy, nursing and architecture may take the exams.
