MANILA - Two of the five Filipino women who perished in the tragic limousine fire have been cremated.
The remains of Fyla Geronga and Jennifer Balon, who were died last Saturday, have been cremated.
A service will be held for the family and friends of Geronga on Thursday night, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Greer Family Mortuary in Alameda, California.
Balon's service will be held on May 13, Monday at 5 p.m. at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Pleasanton, also in California.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Consulate in San Francisco is also holding a memorial service for all victims of the tragedy on Friday, 12 noon, at the 5th floor of the Philippine Consular office along Sutter Street in San Francisco.
Along with Geronga and Balon, newly-wed Neriza Fojas, Michelle Estrera and Anna Alcantara were also killed in the fire.
Four others survived the tragedy. They are Mary Grace Guardiano, Nelia Arellano, Jasmine de Guia and Amalia Loyola.
All of the passengers were Filipino women on their way to a bridal shower for Fojas when the limo they were on burst into flames along the San Mateo bridge. - Report from Henni Espinosa, ABS-CBN North America News Bureau
