MANILA - The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has tapped the country's Ultimate Heartthrob Piolo Pascual to help push its advocacy of promoting savings, investment and entrepreneurship to overseas Filipino workers and their families.
Pascual performed "Mag-Impok, Mag-Negosyo", the reintegration song launched recently in a media event by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) at the Philippine International Convention Center.
According to DOLE Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz, the signature song composed in pop style by writer/composer Vehnee Saturno, is appropriate for the DOLE message addressing “not just OFWs, but every Filipino.”
The song is among the many strategies to carry out the goal of the National Reintegration Program to “improve the quality of life of migrants, their families and communities through wise financial management of dollar earnings to facilitate their return migration.”
The event was attended by top officials of the DOLE and its attached agencies, international institutions from public and private sector, non government organizations and social partners.
Aside from the reintegration song, the event also launched the first edition of the OFW ReinteGREATion News.
