“Hindi lang sa health, as well as makakakilala kami ng ibang mga Pilipino dito sa UAE,” said Oliver Velona, a cyclist from Abu Dhabi.
More than 200 Pinoy and foreign mountain and road bikers recently participated in the 3rd annual gathering of cycling enthusiasts in Sharja. The event was led by the Pinoy Mountain Bikers in the UAE.

Edgar Santiago has been riding his bike for more than a decade. He said biking is not just a hobby. For him, it also serves as his form of exercise.
“Mostly kasi yung health benefit nito, makakain ko lahat ng gusto kong kainin. Cardio and muscular health exercise,” Santiago said.
Newbie Richard Arganda said he got hooked on biking while looking for alternative low impact sports.
“Hindi na ako naglalaro ng basketball hindi na kaya ng tuhod ko so naghahanap ako ng low impact, biking ang naisip ko,” he said.
