BACOLOD CITY -- Sherlita delos Santos is asking for help to bring home the remains of her daughter Evelyn from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Evelyn was working as a nurse in Riyadh. Last March 7, she was found dead in a room at the hospital.
She was informed by a friend of her daughter that Evelyn allegedly died because of dehydration.
However, the family suspects foul play. They believe that her Egyptian husband had something to do with her death.
They had her cadaver autopsied but the results have not yet been released.
Her family is asking help from the Philippine government to help them bring her remains back home. They want to know what really happened to Evelyn.
They sought the help of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in Bacolod City but according to DFA, the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh is the one in charge of her case.
Evelyn's husband was detained at a police station in Riyadh but was released after 24 hours.
