MANILA, Philippines – A benefit dinner was held recently by members of the Filipino community in Dubai and Northern Emirates (FilCom DNE) to raise funds for Bantay Bata 163.
The group was able to raise a total of $6,303 from its activity dubbed “A Valentine Treat” last February 15.
The benefit dinner was aptly timed with the visit of Bantay Bata 163 Foundation Head Tina Monzon-Palma.
Monzon-Palma was in the UAE to raise awareness on social issues confronting Filipino children.
Although pressed with time, the Working Committee managed to deliver a well-organized event.
Bantay Bata 163 is the child welfare arm of ABS-CBN Foundation.
