MANILA, Philippines - Relatives of slain US army reservist Alvin Justine Bulaoro broke down in tears when they saw his coffin.
Bulaoro's remains arrived in his hometown of Patnongon, Antique on Sunday evening. He will be buried on Wednesday.
The 24-year old Bulaoro was found dead inside his car in Fallbrook, San Diego earlier this month. The trauma-inflicted body was wrapped in a sleeping bag.He was reported missing since December 21.
His relatives expressed sadness at Bulaoro's fate since he was expected to be promoted as commanding officer of a unit of the US Army Reserve.
The family declined to give details about the case, at the order of the San Diego police homicide department which is conducting an investigation.
