DOHA, Qatar – If Las Vegas has an honest Filipino taxi driver, Qatar has one too, in the person of Jayson Castillo.

Gym receptionist Castillo is being praised for returning a black pouch he found during his break which contained a cellphone, cash and check amounting to 250,000 Qatari Riyals or approximately P3 million.

"Kinabahan ako. Paano ko isasauli? Naibalik din po sa may ari. Hindi ko hangad na pag-interes saka nagkaroon ako ng takot," he said.

His good deed did not go unnoticed. Ambassador Crescente Relacion, during the graduation of OFWs who completed an Information Technology course, lauded Castillo for his honesty.

Labor Attache Pol de Jesus also praised the 24-year old for his honesty and integrity.

"Sana mas marami pang pumares kay Jayson Castillo," De Jesus said.

Castillo immediately reported to authorities his find.

The owner of the black pouch could not thank Castillo enough for returning his bag. He said the money inside the pouch was for the salary of his employees. Report from Kimina Castro, ABS-CBN Middle East News Bureau
