When a 6.3-magnitude quake struck Batangas

A 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck Luzon 1:28 p.m. Friday, with its epicenter in Nasugbu, Batangas, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).  It prompted immediate evacuations in affected areas.

Students and employees moved to safer grounds amid the shaking.

Phivolcs Director Renato Solidum emphasized the importance of emergency preparedness, particularly in responding to earthquakes, to avoid casualties.
