Residents flee Marawi City during a lull in a gunfight that ensued between government forces and the Maute Group after an attempt to capture Abu Sayyaf leader Isnilon Hapilon, believed to be in Marawi with 15 members of the Maute Group.

At least 3 people have been killed and a dozen wounded since the clash started on Tuesday, leaving thousands of residents stuck in the city. President Rodrigo Duterte thereafter declared Martial Law over the whole of Mindanao in an attempt to deal with the problem.

Here are some images from Marawi and adjacent areas while residents flee from the chaos.
