MANILA - The story of how the 'Amalayer' video changed the life of Paula Jamie Salvosa was featured in this week's episode of ABS-CBN's drama anthology "Maalala Mo Kaya."
Salvosa was the talk of social media in 2012 after she was caught on video berating and shouting at a security guard at a train station.
The video became viral in the Philippines and worldwide.
She became known as the "Amalayer" girl for repeatedly saying "I'm a liar?" in the video.
The MMK story shows Salvosa as a feisty kid who was told not to let anyone put her down, especially after her parents separated.
She eventually became a spoiled child who would bully eveyone in class. As she grew up, Salvosa was almost like a princess who got eveything she wanted from her grandparents.
Her grandmother's death, however, brought her back to reality.
From being an honor student when she was younger, Salvosa started cutting classes, going home late and drunk.
That fateful day in the train station changed her after the video became viral.
After graduation, the video continued to haunt Salvosa, with some employers refusing to accept her because of her past, despite her excellent performance and test results
Salvosa then went on to join Grace Testament Church, where she learned about forgiveness.
After forgiving herself, the people who judged her, and her father, Salvosa was transformed from the "Amalayer" girl to a "princess of God."
The episode, entitled "Train", is directed by Garry Fernando and written by Benson Logronio.
