MANILA – “The Lord is bigger than our problems. He is with us 24/7 and we should never doubt that.”

This was the response of Christine Barredo-Caoile, a radio host and a cancer survivor, when asked about what she learned from her battle against the disease.

Caoile learned that she had cancer when she accompanied her daughter to a gynecologist who asked her if she’s undergoing regular breast check-ups. When Caoile underwent the exam, the doctor found nodules in her breasts.

“During those days, the Lord was silent. I was praying for guidance on which way to go but He really was silent and I had to decide very fast because it was only five days before I had to go back to the hospital and tell them what I want done.”

She had Stage 2 breast cancer when she started her chemotherapy sessions.

Caoile said that she also took the strongest dosage of medicines and tried the alternatives before being fully healed.

Now Caoile works as host of the radio program “Kakaiba Ka”, where people share their stories of faith and relationship with God.

“Now, we discuss the faith of each and every guest we have. We try to find out their faith journey, how did they have a personal relationship with the Lord,” she said.

Caoile previously worked as a flight attendant and a TV program personnel.
